In December 2024, REBERG proudly took part in the reconstruction and furnishing of the Palace of Science — the Endowment of Miodrag Kostić, one of the most representative buildings in the region.
The building, designed in 1924 by German architect August Reinfels, features Central European academic style. It now serves a new purpose — as the Palace of Science, a symbol of knowledge and modern design.
Our team designed, manufactured, and installed carpet rod holders with a click system for easy carpet removal:
• on the central staircase — we recommended high-gloss polished brass holders that perfectly match the architecture of the staircase and its railing
• on 10 floors of side staircases — we installed brushed matte stainless steel holders to blend with the subtle grey carpet composition
Within a short time frame, our team drilled hundreds of holes into 7 cm thick stone steps using special vibration-free tools, avoiding any risk of cracking.
The work was carried out in close collaboration with architects Aleksandar Šavikin and Milan Vučetić, who determined the dimensions and placement of the holders.
As seen in the photos, the carefully crafted REBERG carpet holders not only provide excellent functionality but also enhance the aesthetics of the space with their unique design.
We were asked if we could offer a 2-year warranty on the REBERG carpet holders.
We gave the warranty because REBERG holders with the innovative click system are built for long-term use and can be height-adjusted for any carpet thickness.
Architect Milan Vučetić ultimately described the holders as “a perfect fit.”
